The cast for Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic Interstellar continues to grow and grow. The Wrap reports that Jack Reacher actor David Oyelowo and Cloud Atlas actor David Gyasi have joined the cast in an unspecified role. Oyelowo and Gyasi joins the impressive cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Ellen Burstyn, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, Bill Irwin, Mackenzie Foy, and John Lithgow.
This is already quite the full cast. Without specific plot or character details, it’s difficult to tell if there are any more significant roles left to cast. It was rumored that Wes Bentley would be the last casting announcement but those claims are obviously false with the addition of David Oyelowo and David Gyasi. If you’re unfamiliar with the tow names, Oyelowo recently appeared in Red Tails, The Paperboy, and Jack Reacher. He next appears in Lee Daniels’ The Butler. David Gyasi is a relatively unknown actor at this point but has appeared in films in smaller roles. Besides appearing in Cloud Atlas, he was credited as a “skinny prisoner” in The Dark Knight Rises.
Interstellar follows a group of explorers who travel through a wormhole and into another dimension. The film will arrive in conventional and IMAX theaters on November 7th, 2014. Filming is expected to begin this fall.
